Because tatami omote is made from completely natural materials, it can be re-used in a variety of ways. They can be added to your compost or used in your garden not just as compost but as a natural weed mat, the close weave blocks most of the sunlight to problem plants.

Remember, once used, re-use. If you don't have another use for it then please place it in the appropriate garbage bin for plant materials in your local area.
