Shipping to New Zealand

Now, as in the past, it is very expensive to ship tatami omote to New Zealand. It is a shocking situation when it costs more to ship a pack of targets than it does to buy them in the first place, and that doesn't even take duties, customs and quarantine into account!

There may be a way around this hurdle however. If all of our customers in NZ were to band together, or, a motivated individual or group put their hand up we could make a large bulk order (say, a pallet of 400 - 500 targets) available for purchase. This way the economies of scale kick in and the price per target would be less than many small packs.

Personally, I have a preference towards a 'sub-distributor' in New Zealand who could collect the shipment and break it up to supply the interested groups around the country. This would provide a single point of contact for both the NZ customer and myself, thus providing a stability that businesses need and customers want.

The shipment would have to be paid for in advance, but this could be offset by collecting pre-orders from customers and we could come to an agreement on the freight charges, customs, duties etc.

This offer is only made to our New Zealand customers as I know you have been waiting just as long as us here in Australia for a decent and affordable cutting target. In Australia we sometimes feel we are living at the bottom of the world and the shipping costs are expensive, but it can only be worse for NZ!  Of course, our NZ customers can still order the normal packs, but I'd really like to help out in a bigger way and save you money and also provide a product that will help improve your skills.
